Course Information

This course covers how to prevent and manage pressure ulcers in people receiving care. You will learn where and why pressure ulcers (bedsores) can develop and techniques to stop them from forming (like regular repositioning and skin checks). 

It also introduces models like aSSKINg (an acronym guiding pressure care steps) and explains how to work with the wider healthcare team (like nurses or tissue viability specialists) to treat any pressure sores effectively. Please note, the training includes some graphic content (images of wounds) to educate safely.
