Course Information

This course addresses the spiritual aspect of end-of-life care. It reminds us that everyone has some kind of spiritual or inner life, sometimes religious, sometimes not, and that caring for those needs is important when someone is dying.

You will learn how to recognise when a person has spiritual or religious needs and how to acknowledge and support them (for example, through listening, providing appropriate rituals, or involving chaplaincy or faith leaders as needed). The course encourages you to reflect on your own beliefs so that you can better empathize with others and provide compassionate spiritual support.
