Course Information

This course provides essential knowledge about Tuberculosis (TB) for social care professionals. You will learn what TB is and how it spreads from person to person. It explains the difference between having latent TB infection (no symptoms, not contagious) and active TB disease (symptoms present, can spread). 

The module covers main signs and symptoms of TB to watch out for, treatments available, and how social care staff can support someone with TB by recognising risk factors, assisting with medical follow-up, and reducing stigma.
