Wellbeing Champions Network
About the Network
The Wellbeing Champions Network brings together people who support the health and wellbeing of colleagues working in adult social care.
It provides an opportunity to share ideas, learn from others and help promote positive wellbeing across the sector.
Who can be a Wellbeing Champion?
Anyone working in adult social care can be a Wellbeing Champion. You do not need a formal wellbeing role.
The most important thing is an interest in supporting colleagues and creating a positive working environment.
What do Wellbeing Champions do?
Wellbeing Champions help keep wellbeing visible in their workplace. They may:
- Share wellbeing information, resources and events.
- Signpost colleagues to support and guidance.
- Encourage positive conversations about wellbeing.
- Promote learning and development opportunities.
- Gather ideas and feedback from colleagues.
Wellbeing Champions Network Meetings
The network meets every quarter on Microsoft Teams. Meetings are informal and provide an opportunity to:
- Receive updates from the Care Market Development Team (CMDT).
- Share ideas and examples of good practice.
- Discuss wellbeing topics and challenges.
- Help shape future network meetings.
There is no formal membership process. Anyone acting as a wellbeing champion, whether formally or informally, is welcome to attend.
Book onto the next network meeting through the Social Care Academy.
