Course Information

Dysphagia means swallowing difficulties. This training helps you understand how swallowing works and how to support someone safely if they have dysphagia. It explains the risks (like choking or aspiration) and what to consider when caring for someone with swallowing issues. The course also covers how to follow national guidelines (IDDSI) for preparing the correct food and drink textures and how to seek help from speech and language therapists when needed.
