Course Information

This course teaches you how to spot when a person’s health is getting worse (deteriorating) and what to do about it. You will learn about frailty and why it matters, and a framework called PIER (Prevention, Identification, Escalation, Response) for handling early warning signs. It also covers tools like “Stop and Watch” and SBARD to help you communicate and act quickly when someone’s condition is worsening.
