Sepsis
Course Information
This webinar gives a current overview of sepsis – a life-threatening reaction to infection. It is aimed at all front-line care staff, including those in care homes, nursing homes, and home care.
You will learn how common and serious sepsis is in the UK, how to recognise the early signs (using national tools like NEWS2 early warning scores), and what immediate actions to take if you suspect sepsis. The session also covers how to prevent sepsis by reducing infection risks in care settings and clarifies when and how to escalate a potential sepsis case quickly for medical help.
