Awareness of Substance Misuse (Level 1 Award)

Get basic awareness of substance misuse issues. Learn how common drug and alcohol misuse really is, their effects on health, and why early help, harm reduction, and support services matter.

British Sign Language (BSL) for Care

A searchable online BSL phrasebook for social care. Provides over 200 common care-related phrases with video demonstrations, organised by topics, to help staff communicate effectively and easily with BSL users.

Care after Death

Live webinar covering how to care compassionately for someone after they have died. Explains verifying death procedures, performing respectful personal care of the deceased, and supporting bereaved families and staff.

Care and Management of Diabetes (Level 3 Certificate)

Gives advanced understanding of diabetes care. Covers diabetes types and causes, how it affects the body, strategies for controlling blood sugar, preventing complications, and supporting individuals to manage their condition.

Care Planning

Teaches how to write and update good care plans. Covers making person-centred plans to meet each person’s needs and choices, doing reviews, keeping accurate records, and involving people and families.

Care Planning (Level 2 Certificate)

Teaches how to create and maintain person-centred care plans. Covers assessing needs, writing and updating care plans, involving people and families, and choosing goals to meet each person’s needs.

Common Health Conditions (Level 2 Certificate)

Explains how to monitor and care for people with common health conditions. It covers signs and health monitoring, and basic understanding of conditions like stroke, arthritis, sensory loss, and dementia.

Dysphagia

Explains swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) and how to support someone safely. Covers risks like choking, when to get specialist help, and how to prepare food and drinks to the right consistency.
