Online course for those who lead or aspire to lead in adult social care. Explains what good leadership means, different leadership styles, and practical skills in communication, managing change, and conflict resolution.

Managing and Managing People (Open University)

Explores key responsibilities of managers, especially when managing people. Discusses techniques for motivating staff, delegating tasks, providing feedback, and balancing team needs with achieving organisational goals.

Medication Audits

This course equips provides the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out safe, effective and compliant medication audits. 

Modern Slavery and Exploitation

Explains what modern slavery and exploitation are. Covers forms of modern slavery, who may be at risk, how to recognise the signs, and how to report concerns to authorities safely.

Nursing (Adult) Degree

Degrees leading to registration as an Adult Nurse. They combine academic study with extensive clinical placements in hospitals and community settings, focusing on nursing care for adult patients.

Nursing (Learning Disabilities) Degree

Nursing degree specialising in Learning Disabilities. Prepares students to become Registered Learning Disability Nurses, focusing on the unique health and support needs of people with learning disabilities.

Nursing Associate Foundation Degree

Foundation degrees training Nursing Associates – a role bridging healthcare assistants and nurses. These programmes mix academic learning with supervised practice to develop safe, skilled nursing support staff.

Nutrition in palliative and end of life care

Discusses how to support a person’s nutrition when they are in advanced illness or near end of life. Covers challenges like appetite loss and guides carers on adapting nutrition goals to focus on comfort care.

Palliative Care Emergencies

For advanced staff, covers how to respond to sudden serious medical problems (like a major infection or severe bleeding) in palliative patients, with steps to ensure patients’ comfort and safety.
