Palliative Care Introduction for Care Support Workers

Introductory course on palliative and end-of-life care for support workers. Explains the difference between palliative and end-of-life care, common illness journeys, key decisions (like DNACPR), communication tips, and caring after death.

Person-Centred Care

Quick microlearning module on what person-centred care means. Emphasises focusing on what matters to each individual and promoting their dignity, independence, and choices in daily support, with respect and empathy.

Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Management

Teaches how to prevent and manage pressure ulcers (bedsores). Explains where bedsores happen and how to stop them (regular repositioning, good skin care), and what to do if one develops.

Principles of Dementia Care (Level 2 Certificate)

Learn about dementia and how to support people living with it. Covers different types of dementia, why a person-centred approach is important, communication methods, and providing appropriate activities for them.

Principles of Dementia Care (Level 3 Certificate)

Gives deeper knowledge to support people with dementia. Covers how dementia care has changed, advanced understanding of dementia types and behaviours, managing medications and symptoms, and leading good care practices.

PRN Protocols

A practical course is designed for frontline care staff responsible for administering "as required" (PRN) medication.
